Bernie Laurel, President & Chief Executive Officer
A 20-year veteran in the medical device industry, Bernie joined Tridien in 2013 to lead the company’s sales, marketing and customer service functions. Most recently, Bernie served as VP Sales & Marketing for Sanuwave Health, where he was responsible for global commercialization of innovative wound and bone healing technology in the regenerative medicine space. At Medela, in various leadership roles, he drove substantial growth through product and market diversification. Additional senior level roles included positions at Imagyn Medical Technologies and Osbon Medical Systems. Bernie holds a B.S. in Biology from Duquesne University and an MBA from the Tepper School of Business, Carnegie-Mellon University.
Eric Bello, CFO
Eric Bello joined Tridien as Chief Financial Officer in 2014 and is responsible for Finance, Human Resources and Information Technology. Eric held senior management roles at several public and private companies throughout his career. Prior to joining Tridien, Eric served as the VP of Finance and Chief Compliance Officer for a start-up cloud-based technology company, Chief Financial Officer for a NASDAQ listed industrial machine manufacturer, and held Controller positions with an international medical device manufacturer and nutritional supplement manufacturer and distributor. Eric, a Certified Public Accountant, started his career with KPMG LLP after earning his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Florida.
James Sparks, VP Operations
James joined Tridien as Vice President of Operations in 2013. In this role, James has leadership responsibility for Tridien’s three manufacturing locations in Corona, CA, Fishers, IN, and Coral Springs, FL. James brings to Tridien 25 years of class I-III global medical device manufacturing experience and leadership with companies such as Medtronic, Johnson & Johnson, and Baxter Healthcare. Most recently, James was Site Leader for the Medtronic heart valve manufacturing location in Santa Ana, CA. James holds a B.S. in Manufacturing Technology from West Coast University, and an MBA in Technology Management from University of Phoenix. James also holds a Black Belt in Lean Manufacturing and an APICS CPIM certification.
Ian West, VP Engineering
Ian joined Tridien as Vice President of Engineering in 2012, and has overall responsibility for the design and development of both powered and non-powered products. Ian brings 25 years of R&D medical device experience to Tridien that includes a variety of product categories and leadership positions with companies such as Johnson & Johnson, CRTITKON LLC, GE Healthcare and Philips Healthcare. Most recently Ian was Vice President of Product Development with ZELTIQ Aesthetics. Ian holds a B.Eng (Hons) and a Ph.D from the University of Liverpool (UK), and is a Fellow and Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Technology (United Kingdom).
John Cramer, VP Quality & Regulatory
John joined the company in 2001 as the Vice President of Quality & Regulatory and has corporate quality/regulatory responsibility for all Tridien locations. John has 30 years of quality/regulatory experience within the medical device industry, including leadership positions with American Hospital Supply, Baxter Healthcare, American Hydro-Surgical and Dade Behring. John holds a B.S. degree in Zoology from the University of Michigan, Masters’ Degrees in Quality Management from the University of Miami, an MBA form Nova Southeastern University, and is a Certified Quality Engineer with the American Society of Quality.
